Is a CBCT scan at the dentist more harmful than a normal X-ray?
A CBCT scan provides significantly more diagnostic information than a classic X-ray image, but it also involves a higher radiation dose than a single 2D image. We therefore use it selectively, only when the additional information is genuinely needed for your treatment.
How long does a CBCT scan take?
The actual scan only takes a few seconds, but the entire appointment, including preparation and discussion, usually takes a bit more time.
